How to use framing text

Add the rotated, editorial-style text that runs vertically beside a section.

Framing text is the small vertical text that sits in the margin beside a section, a signature editorial touch used throughout the theme. Most sections support it.

  1. Open the theme editor and select the section you'd like to add framing text to.
  2. Find the Framing text style setting and choose one:
    • Left or Right - a single line of text on that side.
    • Mirror - the same text on both sides.
    • Both - different text on each side.
  3. Depending on your choice, fill in Text, or Left text and Right text.
  4. Choose how it behaves On mobile: Horizontal (runs along the top instead of the side) or Hidden.
  5. Set a Framing text color to control its color scheme.
  6. Save your changes.

On wide screens, framing text sits outside the section's normal content width, in the visual gutter either side. On narrower screens, the layout adjusts to make room for it. If you want more control, switch on Override default styles in the section's Advanced styling to adjust Framing text size, or Framing text anchor (Standard or Flipped, which reverses which side each line anchors to) when using Mirror or Both.
