Set up a newsletter signup or promo popup that opens automatically after a delay.
- Open the theme editor and add a Popup section (it can go anywhere in the section list; it doesn't need to be visible on the page since it renders as an overlay).
- Make sure Enable popup is switched on.
- Choose a Mode: Newsletter signup collects an email address; Promo button just shows a heading, text, image, and a button.
- Fill in the Heading, Text, and Image, plus the mode-specific fields (Placeholder and Button label for Newsletter signup; Label, Link, and Style for Promo button).
- Set Show after to control the delay before it opens.
- Leave Show once per visitor on so it doesn't reappear on every page load for the same customer, or turn it off to show it every visit.
- Save your changes.
In the theme editor, the popup only opens while its section is selected, so it stays out of your way while you're working on other sections. To see it behave as customers will, preview your theme on the storefront.
