Show "pairs well with" style product recommendations on your product page, powered by Shopify's Search & Discovery app.
The Complementary products block on the product page doesn't have its own list of products to choose from: it pulls from Shopify's recommendation engine, configured in the Search & Discovery app. Until that's set up, the block renders nothing.
- From your Shopify admin, install the free Search & Discovery app if you haven't already (Apps > Shopify App Store).
- Open the app and go to Recommendations.
- For each product (or in bulk), add the products you'd like to recommend as complements.
- Back in the theme editor, open your product page and add (or select) the Complementary products block.
- Set a Heading (default "Pairs well with") and choose how many Products to show (1 to 4).
- Save your changes.
